Glaze Transfers

Writer's picture: Lee KohLee Koh

Underglaze or overglaze transfers are an easy way to add patterns or images to your pottery. This is especially good for people who aren't terribly good at detailed painting, like me. Combine them with other techniques to create a one-off piece!

Materials: I bought mine from SanBao studios

Instructions: Follow the instructions on the packaging. If you are applying on greenware do not apply on bone dry ware. Do make sure that you soak the transfer enough for the glaze to adhere to the clay, otherwise the pattern can be patchy, as I found out on my second try (to my dismay).
